Benefits of the Surah Yaseen

In a hadith, it is declared that there is a surah in the Quran called "Azim" in the sight of Allah. This surah holds the power to intercede for many people on the Day of Judgment. That surah is the chapter of Yasîn.

Some of the benefits of reading the Surah Yasin:

1. The patient who misses an appointment will be cured.
2. The sufferer will not feel the pain of death.
3. They will see the angels of Heaven when they die.
4. One will overcome fear and gain confidence.
5. Strangers will find help.
6. Those who are hungry will be satisfied, as provision comes unexpectedly.
7. Those without water will find water until they quench their thirst.
8. Singles will find it easier to get married.
9. A person will find clothes even if they are without any.
10. They will find what is unseen.

However, it is necessary to read them with purpose and belief.

Imam-i Sha'rânî states that if one's intention is to seek Allah's approval or fulfill a specific need, reading three Yasîns or slaughtering a sheep can increase the chances of their wish being accepted.

According to narration from Malik bin Yesar (ra), the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that the heart of the Quran is Yasin-i Sharif. Whoever reads it with the intention of seeking Allah's pleasure and for the reward in the hereafter, Allah will forgive their sins. The Prophet further commanded that it should be read for the deceased as well.

Abu Hurayra (ra) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said whoever reads Yasin overnight for the sake of Allah, their sins will be forgiven.

Enes (ra) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Everything has a heart and the heart of the Quran is Yasin. Whoever reads Surah Yasin, Allah will reward them as if they have read the entire Quran ten times."

According to what is reported from Ali (ra), the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Ali, "Read Surah Yasin, for there are ten blessings in it:

1. If someone who is lost reads it, they will find their way.
2. If a prisoner reads it, they will be released.
3. If someone who is naked reads it, they will be clothed.
4. Whoever reads it while hungry, they will be satisfied.
5. If an unmarried person reads it, they will get married.
6. If a traveler reads it, they will receive assistance during their journey.
7. If someone reads it without water, they will find water until they quench their thirst.
8. If a patient reads it, they will regain their appetite and feel better.
9. If a person who is afraid reads it, their fear will subside.
10. If it is read next to a dying patient, their pain and anguish will ease.

From Aisha (ra), it is mentioned that there is a chapter in the Quran. Those who read it intercede greatly, and those who listen to it are forgiven. That chapter is Surah Yasin.
